ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

This comprehensive online module is designed to equip pre-hospital personnel with the essential knowledge and skills needed to assess, manage, and triage burn injuries in the field. Through interactive content, scenarios, and evidence-based guidelines, this course emphasizes the critical role of early burn care in improving patient outcomes. Participants will learn to recognize different types of burns, accurately estimate burn severity, initiate appropriate fluid resuscitation, as well as manage airway and pain control. Special considerations such as electrical and chemical burns, pregnancy and pediatric burns, cold injuries and mass casualty incidents are also addressed.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for this module includes EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedics and other pre-hospital health care providers.
